Job Description:
Join Vestas as a SCADA Engineer in the wind energy sector, based in Taranto or other MED countries, with opportunities for professional growth within a multinational organization.
MED SCADA & Cyber Security Sales Solutions department focuses on value engineering, contractual risk management, and product management for SCADA & Cyber Security solutions in Vestas power plants across the Mediterranean region, including Southern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The department develops monitoring, control, data acquisition systems, and cyber security technologies for wind technology.
Responsibilities:
Collect and review wind power plant SCADA and ICT requirements from After-Sales.
Contribute to SCADA market requirements and product roadmaps, ensuring compliance and training for new solutions.
Review customer requirements to manage technical risks.
Collaborate with SCADA Operations to review site configurations and align on solutions.
Drive business case optimization and value engineering for SCADA After-Sales offerings.
Specify technical and contractual details during bid stages.
Support contractual negotiations and bid definitions with Service Commercial and Customer Service teams.
Participate in sales teams, collaborating with TBM and Grid Engineers to add value to projects.
Ensure effective handover to SCADA Operations for project execution.
Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders including customers and internal teams.
Possess knowledge of industrial automation, networks, PLC hardware, and communication interfaces.
Experience with ICT requirements in wind power plants is advantageous.
Require 3+ years in similar roles, preferably within wind or power generation industries.
Demonstrate strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
Be creative, motivated, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Possess good communication and presentation skills.
Be result-oriented with the ability to work independently and in international teams.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel within the Mediterranean region as needed.
