The responsibilities include:Supporting the execution of programs like GALILEO, Moonlight, LEO PNTIod.Contributing to new business opportunities.Fostering R&D activities in satellite navigation.Location: Rome.Role as a Thales System Engineer:As a System Engineer at Thales, you will:Analyze customer needs through advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes.Formalize specifications and architecture to propose optimal solutions.Prepare and execute integration, verification, and validation tests.Define test plans and procedures for system-level testing.Ensure technical coherence of system design, interfaces, and performance.Design the architecture of command and control systems.Demonstrate solutions to clients.Additionally, you will:Support growth initiatives within the engineering department.Contribute to R&D through new studies.Coordinate with universities for thesis, internships, etc.Participate in international meetings and conferences worldwide.Language requirement: Fluent English, spoken and written.Competencies:A master’s degree in electronics, telecommunications, computer science, aerospace engineering, or equivalent.Knowledge of basic telecommunication principles.Familiarity with System Engineering Tools (e.g., MBSE, Requirement Management, Simulation Tools, Matlab).At least 5 years of experience in Satellite Navigation and/or Communication Systems.Experience leading engineering projects or activities.Ability to adapt to change.Strong teamwork, problem-solving skills, proactivity, and innovative mindset.At Thales Alenia Space, we offer careers, not just jobs.
