Japanese speaking Sales Manager / Sales Representative

A Japanese company is currently recruiting a Sales Manager / Sales Representative to work in their Milan office.
In this role, you will be responsible for wholesale of food and tenant development sales in Italy, along with management and operations as an assistant to directors in Japan.
The ideal candidate should have experience in sales, management skills, and fluency in Japanese, English, and Italian.
Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill is essential.

SALARY: Sales Representative €30 – 40k, Sales Manager up to €60k (both positions including bonus)

Main Responsibilities
Sales Representative

Wholesale and tenant development sales within Italy
Market research, business strategy formulation, and proposal of ideas
Preparation of sales reports
Business trips within Italy and Japan as required

Sales Manager (Department Head)

Sales activities within Italy
Comprehensive management support for the Italian subsidiary office, approximately 30 domestic tenants, and factories
Financial management (fundraising, operations, preparing financial statements, financial analysis, budget vs. actual management, balance sheet and profit and loss management, cash flow management, preparing cash flow statements, achieving annual financial targets)
Supporting labour and personnel management (recruitment, personnel affairs, payroll management, team building, development and management, employee performance evaluation, resignation procedures)
Prevention and resolution of internal issues
Goal setting, operational improvement, design and enhancement of business processes, subordinate development and management
Market research, business strategy formulation, proposal of ideas
Formulation, execution and analysis of company objectives, business strategy and KPIs
Implementation and compliance with company policies
Reporting company performance and results to the Board of Directors
Business travel within Italy and Japan as required
Support for resignation procedures

Ideal Candidate – Sales

Experience in food industry sales preferred (candidates without sales or industry experience but demonstrating strong interest and enthusiasm are welcome)
Excellent team management and communication skills
Business-level proficiency in Japanese, English, and Italian
Valid driving licence

Ideal Candidate – Sales Manager (Director)

Essential: Practical experience in management support or managerial roles within Europe
Practical experience in finance, human resources, labour management, and operational management
Experience in the food industry is welcome (candidates without experience but with a strong interest and passion for the food industry are also encouraged to apply)
Excellent team management and communication skills
Proficiency in Japanese, English, and Italian at a business level
Driving licence
