OverviewJoin to apply for the Sales Director role at Bloom Energy. We are looking for an experienced and successful Sales Director to build long-term, trusting relationships with our Customers in Italy. The Bloom Energy Sales Director Italy role is to develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities for the entire Bloom Energy portfolio and solutions in Italy. The Bloom Energy’s Sales Director Italy will report to the Regional Senior Sales Director and will be based in Italy, preferably in Milan. The role will work closely with the regional Energy Transition Management and HQ Product Sales Team to build a pipeline of opportunities and increase penetration of Bloom’s technology in Italy, across industrial power generation, biogas, data centers, and real estate market segments.Roles and ResponsibilitiesOperating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accountsBuilding and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with Customers in Italy at any levelOverseeing Customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit for Bloom EnergyWork as a Sales Lead for Bloom opportunities identified in the assigned Region following Bloom commercial processesLead the development of full value propositions for Customers on Bloom’s technology and solutionsCollaborate with leadership, Energy Transition Management, Commercial Operations Team, and HQ Product Sales Team to interface with Customers and influence adoption of Bloom technologyLead internal proposal efforts and development of new market opportunities for Bloom technologyEnsure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to Customer needs and objectivesPartner with Customers to develop deals / projects and work with HQ Product Sales Team and Commercial Team to win new ordersWork on regional partnership landscape and structure special and complex transactionsCommunicate progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to Bloom Energy stakeholders and leadershipForecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)Prepare reports on account statusCollaborate with Bloom Energy stakeholders and leadership to identify and grow opportunities within the assigned regionAssist with challenging Customer requests or issue escalations as neededInterpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes and / or servicesUtilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision-makingProvide competitors’ information about market dynamics in line with Bloom Energy policiesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s in Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent experienceConducting business adhering to the highest standards of compliance and sustainability, and Bloom Energy policiesMinimum 10 years work experience in Sales (e.g., Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager) or Commercial Operations with frequent Customer touchStrong knowledge of the Italian power generation market, including key players, regulations, and Customer requirementsStrong knowledge of incentives available in Italy for high-efficiency power generation solutions and biogas for power generationExcellent presentation skillsAbility to communicate, present and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive and C-levelAbility to understand Customer needs and deliver high-value solutionsProven ability to juggle multiple account management projects with attention to detailExcellent active listening and negotiation capabilitiesDesired CharacteristicsProactive, self-motivated, and results-orientedAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional teamExceptional oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsDemonstrated ability to lead programs and projectsNever give up attitudeOther ConsiderationsMust be fluent in English and ItalianMinimum 50% travel will be requiredSeniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSales and Business DevelopmentIndustriesAppliances, Electrical, and Electronics ManufacturingElectric Power GenerationFuel Cell Manufacturing
