OverviewAs a Sales application Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects. You will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's growth and profitability by providing expert-level guidance in cost analysis, bid strategy, and risk assessment. Join us as an Estimator and make a significant impact on our estimating department.You will report directly to our Sales Opearations Manager and you will work out of our Cinisello Balsamo, Italy location on a Hybrid work schedule.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the estimation process for projects, ensuring accuracy and timelinessCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and develop cost estimatesAnalyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope and identify potential risksPrepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costsReview and validate subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracyControls pricing within published guidelines and handles all requests for discounts. Ensures that pricing deviations are properly approved and tracked, per the delegation of authority matrix and bid approval processStay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies related to estimatingQualificationsYOU MUST HAVEBusiness & Commercial AcumenBasic Understanding of costing and pricing modelsBasic knowledge of basic commercial / T&C term and negotiation techniquesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret project plans, specifications, and drawingsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to communicate and collaborate with internal and external resources to meet goalsAbility to read, speak, and write in English requiredFamiliarity with field instrumentation, monitoring systems, plant software and controls installations and knowledge of Turbomachinery Control System is a plus.WE VALUEBachelor's degree in EngineeringStrong leadership and decision-making skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbout HoneywellHoneywell International Inc.
