If you are looking for stimulating challenges and the chance to contribute your ideas for process improvement in an ever-growing company, IRCA is the right place.Purpose of Position : We are seeking a highly motivated RSPP for Anastasi, a company of Irca Group that operates in Bronte (Sicily) belonging to the Dry Fruits business, which is growing rapidly.The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading EHS for the IRCA site in Bronte, ensuring that the people and the site are legally compliant and satisfy IRCA Environmental, Health and Safety expectations, procedures, standards and processes. Responsible for establishing an on-going assessment of the implementation of the EHS Management System to comply within local legislation and IRCA EHS requirements, and for generating a strategy for site HSE investments.Description of Main Activities / Responsibilities :Ensures that HSE legal requirements for the location are always communicated and works with the local Leadership Team and with the Corporate EMEA HSE director to address the requirements in the most effective wayImplements HSE strategy in Bronte by developing and aligning local plans, in agreement with local Leadership Team and EMEA Regional guidelines; provides proactive feedback to the Plant Leader to ensure strategy sustainability & robustness in the long termBecomes a member of the local Leadership Team, participates in local decision-making and supports local needs in agreement with the Plant Leader EMEA HSE DirectorIdentifies and prioritizes needs, proposes and gets approval for HSE local budget, and manages it accordingly in full alignment with Site Leadership TeamPrepares procedures, instructions, and OPLs, and promoting a safety culture through training courses / breaks in departmentsAnalyze complex issues and recommend and implement improvements by changing or adapting existing methods and techniques. Recognizes, evaluates, recommends, and implements policies and procedures to assure awareness and compliance with HSE requirements of the organizationDevelop solutions to a variety of complex problems. Exercises level of innovative thinking to approach challenges involving variable situations requiring analytical, interpretive, evaluative, and / or constructive thinking; original thinking based on analysisInforms to relevant parties (country EHS, business, location) as soon as possible on any deviation to the original scope and deadlines that can lead to a potential failure of the agreed deliverablesInvestigates or reviews accidents, incidents and injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplaceReports I&Is, reportable spills, fires and process safety events as per internal corporate requirementsInvestigates or reviews accidents, incidents and injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace and provides presentation on root causes and corrective actionsAccountability is generally regulated and self-initiated. Decisions are normally implemented with minimal supervisor approval. Facilitates results with communication skills and interpersonal competenceCommunications :Routinely engages (communicate, influence, collaborates) with Plant employees and Plant / EMEA Corporate HSE Leadership.Develops and conducts employee training and emergency preparedness. Provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice. Independently prepares or supervises preparation of reports and recommends corrective actionsRequirements :Education : Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, Industrial and Process Engineering, or Environmental Engineering, with relevant experienceProfessional Skills : In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety and / or environmental regulations. Must keep fully informed on all existing and proposed changes in occupational health and safety and / or environmental regulations. Knowledge of certifications 45001, 14001, 50001; RSPP (Safety Manager) course and trainer certification will be considered a plusExperience : At least 5 years of experience in the roleComputer Skills : MS Office, Autocad, Excel.
