The role is part of ABB Robotics and contributes to the Robotics Global IS Organization, engaging with Business Function/Lines Leads, Process Owners, PM, BA, Enterprise Architects, and Infrastructure Teams.ResponsibilitiesOwn software solution architecture across multiple architecture categories and ensure alignment with enterprise and data architecture standards.Design, build, maintain, and ensure the integrity and quality of Information Systems (IS) solutions and associated IS services delivered to the business.Consult, advise, and support on the installation of new IS solutions/services or changes to existing IS solutions/services as part of the Robotics business separation.Ensure IS solutions/services provide required functionality, are reliable, maintainable, compliant, and auditable.Approve, sign off, and build any solution to be implemented on ABB Robotics production environment within the respective service line, ensuring quality and safety standards.Contribute to IS problem and incident management by identifying and eliminating recurring defects.Define technical IS solutions and ensure alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through collaboration with IS solution architects and IS delivery units.Qualifications9–10 years of experience in IT systems, including roles such as Applications Manager, Technical Engineer, and Business Process Specialist.Minimum 2 years of dedicated experience in system architecture.Strong understanding of IS applications and business processes across commercial operations.Solid experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and integration of ERP with non-ERP systems.Exposure to marketing, sales, and service-related applications.Ability to work closely with operations teams while providing an architectural perspective.Strong technical engineering background to bridge applications, operations, and architecture.Demonstrated ability to contribute to cross-functional initiatives and support scalable solutions.About ABB RoboticsThis role is part of ABB's Robotics business, which is preparing to become an independent company.
