OverviewEataly is the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace. Eataly is seeking a Restaurant Manager to join our team in North America. Eataly is currently in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and Toronto and many other places, and are pleased to offer visa sponsorship and relocation assistance to selected candidates.Restaurant Manager assists the Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) in the day-to-day operations of Eataly’s full-service restaurants. Reports to the Restaurant AGM and oversees front-of-house restaurant staff including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers and barbacks.ResponsibilitiesSupports the Restaurant AGM with hiring, assigning, training, evaluating and terminating employeesDocuments, investigates, escalates and resolves all employee and guests incidentsEnsures exceptional service standards are consistently met and that activities are carried out effectivelyInspects dining room and storage areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulationsEstimates front-of-house food and beverage needs, and supervises intake orders to ensure specificationsReviews financial information such as sales, inventory and costs to monitor budgetMeets with dining room and bar personnel to plan restaurant activities, special events, share informationPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualificationsExcellent communication skills in Italian and English2+ years of experience leading or managing a front-of-house restaurant teamSolid understanding of steps of serviceOutstanding communication, leadership and problem-solving skillsBachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Restaurant Management or Hospitality preferredKnowledge of Italian cuisine and beverages highly preferredJob RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingFood Handler’s License preferredBenefits and PerksRelocation from Italy to North AmericaVisa sponsorship covered by the companyBonus programPaid Time OffPaid Parental LeaveDiscounts at EatalyReferral bonus programand moreEqual Employment OpportunityEataly is an equal employment opportunity employer.
