For our Sales & Marketing Team, we are looking for a Reservations & Events Trainee to be part of Anglo American Hotel in Florence, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand.The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the brand's philosophy, with excellent written and oral communication skills. They will be involved in event management, time management, project management, and MICE.He/she will strictly follow all company and brand procedures and plans to contribute to achieving and exceeding the hotel's targets in collaboration with the team.Objective of this roleListed below are the minimum requirements to be shortlisted for this internship role:Highly computer literate with excellent presentation skills (including PowerPoint) and confident use of all Microsoft Office tools.Native or fluent in Italian (written and spoken).Fluent in English (written and spoken).Additional languages are a plus.Must be an EU citizen or in possession of an Italian work visa.The Meetings & Events Trainee we are seeking must be extremely organized, have good communication skills, and be able to relate and perform well with the operations team, sales manager, and reservations department.He/she will support negotiation and conversion of incoming group opportunities, creating strong relationships with clients by supporting and following them through all stages of the negotiation process until the day of arrival.Core job responsibilities and dutiesSupport in the management of RFPs following company and brand standards and procedures.Constantly update CRM with opportunities, calls, account information, tasks, and projects.Ensure that PMS (OnQ by Hilton) is properly and constantly updated with all necessary information (rates, inventory, etc.).Focus on own KPI conversion according to given goals.Manage event and group bookings from initial offer to client arrival.Contribute ideas to improve standards and develop new products and services.Support organization and follow-up of site inspections and Fam Trips on the property when required.Personality and skillsThe candidate should demonstrate:High personal performance standards.Effective planning, organization, and systematic approach to tasks.Good time management and task prioritization.Ability to pitch information appropriately.Active listening skills.Ability to develop positive relationships at all levels.Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.Location: Anglo American Hotel, Florence, via Solferino 6.Note: Accommodation is not provided for this position.Feeling confident about this role?
