Remuneration: Academic Level D or Level E (AUD 185K-237K) based on experience + 17% Super + Annual Leave Loading

Role overview
The Research Leads will report to Professor Bogda Koczwara AM and will shape the Centre’s research strategy across four major themes:
Person-Centred Care in Cancer Survivorship – advancing holistic, equitable models of care that place survivors at the heart of the health system.
Behaviour and Health – exploring behavioural, psychological and social factors affecting wellbeing after diagnosis.
Survivorship Epidemiology – investigating long-term health outcomes, quality of life, and disparities in survivorship through large-scale research.
Precision Survivorship – tailoring care informed by molecular, genetic, behavioural and environmental factors.
These roles offer opportunities to lead world-leading survivorship research, build national and international partnerships, secure funding, and mentor the next generation of researchers.
Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to the Centre’s research program within the four themes above.
Develop and implement strategic research plans; secure competitive funding.
Mentor and supervise honours and postgraduate research students; lead research teams.
Foster high-level collaboration across disciplines, faculties, institutions, industry and professional bodies.
Promote equity, diversity and inclusion in research and practice.
Qualifications and experience
PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
Extensive leadership experience in the relevant field.
Strong track record in research leadership, supervision, and collaboration across disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to secure funding and build industry and community partnerships.
Commitment to UNSW’s aims, values, and policies including equity, diversity and inclusion.
Experience with safety management and compliance is desirable.
