RESEARCH ASSISTANT I
Position Number: 8350146 | Campus: Maywood-Health Sciences Campus | Department: Surgery | Location Code: 06740A | Status: Part‑time, non‑exempt.
Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out experiments as instructed by Principal Investigator.
Monitor inventory of essential lab supplies and order additional supplies when required.
Prepare solutions, buffers, and media.
Gather, organize, enter, and analyze data; perform literature searches and retrieve literature from the library.
Incorporate new information/techniques into experiments with PI approval.
Maintain a safe, orderly laboratory environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and zero to one year of related experience.
Qualifications
Organizational skills in scientific tasks and documentation.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Lifting, carrying, standing, repetitive motions. Working with animals. No vehicle operation required.
Salary
Hourly Rate: $16.60 – $18.00 per hour.
