We maintain and optimize technologies in the global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.Purpose of the Job:We are seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals to join as Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Managers. The Area Manager supervises a team of engineering technicians, focusing on safety through training, development, and coaching. They ensure high equipment availability by conducting preventative maintenance and adhering to internal processes and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Lead, support, and mentor the team, ensuring safety and efficiency standards are met.Collaborate with the team and network to leverage technical expertise and develop solutions.Support safety programs in coordination with Site Safety and Leadership teams.Implement network standards, focusing on preventative maintenance to maximize equipment availability.Organize training to ensure technical coverage for shifts.Manage local or EU-level projects as assigned.Work on shifts as needed to maintain team connection and oversight.Basic Qualifications:Significant practical engineering experience, including supervisory roles managing people.Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or equivalent experience.Multiskilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines.Experience with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.Proficiency in English and local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.Experience with health and safety standards and regulations.Solid computer skills (MS Office, CAD).Preferred Qualifications:Full knowledge of engineering and facilities equipment within FC and DS, including safety procedures.Experience with PLC control systems.Project management experience.Knowledge of CMMS programs.Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement processes.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer that values diversity.
