OverviewRegulatory Ecotoxicologist role at ERM in Europe. ERM offers chemical regulatory consulting services including data gap analysis, study monitoring, risk assessment, dossier preparation and post-submission support for agrochemicals, biocides and REACH. The role supports clients in navigating EU regulatory requirements and collaborates with a dedicated ecotoxicology team.Role ResponsibilitiesProvide a high quality consultancy service in ecotoxicology and environmental risk assessment to clients and ERM staff to meet regulatory and business needsUnderstand clients’ desired outcomes and ensure deliverables meet quality standardsWork with clients, represent ERM in meetings, and respond to ecotoxicology-related questionsContribute to business development through client visits, conferences and expert groups relevant to the areaEvaluate and summarize ecotoxicology data, ecological risk assessments and study monitoring with a focus on REACHStay updated on the latest developments in ecotoxicology and ecological risk assessmentCollaborate with other ERM experts to maintain project awarenessDefine actions, allocate resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budgetDevelop expertise in new EU regulatory developmentsSupport the personal development of other team membersUndertake other scientific and administrative tasks as neededSkills & ExperienceDegree in Biology, Ecotoxicology or related fieldProven experience in conducting ecotoxicological risk assessmentsAbility to design and conduct ecotoxicology studiesStrong knowledge of EU regulations and guidelines, including data requirements for ecotoxicology under REACHExperience communicating with EU regulatory bodies and participating in expert meetings with clientsCollaborative and cross-disciplinary work styleExperience with dossier preparation and support using IUCLID and CHESAR for REACH submissionsCommitment to delivering high quality work and safetyStrong written and verbal communication, organization and prioritization skillsProficiency in ecotox statistical analysis software is preferableExperience with non-EU regulatory requirements is an assetInterpersonal skills for effective teamworkWhat we offerFlexibilityInternational team of experts across regionsOpportunities to grow in new areasPotential synergies with other ERM service linesCompetitive remunerationVarious office locationsERM is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
