THE POSITION
The Recruiting & Retention Specialist plays a key role in managing the full talent lifecycle process, including recruitment, onboarding, employer branding, and employee retention initiatives. This position is essential in developing strong candidate pipelines, enhancing employee engagement and supporting HR programs that cultivate a positive and productive workplace culture.
As part of a small, collaborative HR Team, you will work closely with employees and leaders across the organization, with your visibility in the office helping you support programs and build strong relationships. A willingness to take initiative is highly valued in this role.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead full-cycle recruitment for all open positions, while partnering closely with department leaders to identify required skills, competencies and workforce needs.
Conduct new hire onboarding, including facilitating orientation and conducting 30 and 90 day check-ins to support employee success.
Implement and maintain employer branding and social media strategies to attract high quality candidates.
Build and sustain partnerships with local agencies, schools, and universities to strengthen community relationships and talent pipelines.
Represent NAA at job fairs and community outreach events.
Support employee engagement initiatives through surveys, focus groups, stay interviews and recognition programs.
Plan and execute employee recognition events throughout the year.
Analyze engagement trends and recommend retention strategies that support organizational culture and employee satisfaction.
Manage the summer internship program, including job postings, candidate selection, onboarding and the development of meaningful real-world aviation experience.
Supervise interns and ensure high‑quality internship experience.
Maintain and update job descriptions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational needs.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
At least four years of Human Resources experience preferred.
>Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office, sourcing tools, and HRIS systems.
SHRM-CP certification is a plus.

Starting Salary: $2,741 biweekly with flexibility for exceptional experience.
