Your role
We are looking for a Re‑Insurance Senior Manager who will report to the Head of Risk Management. The Re‑Insurance Senior Manager is responsible for developing and managing the organization’s global insurance strategy with specific reference to the opportunity to move into the Group’s captive, existing and future insurances. The breadth of programs ranges from comprehensive coverage for corporate assets, operations, and liabilities, to Employee benefit Insurance solutions. The role oversees risk transfer programs, negotiates insurance contracts, manages claims, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while optimizing cost efficiency.
Main responsibilities:

Manage the Insurance Corporate Team and cooperate with the North America Risk Management Team.
Design and implement corporate insurance programs covering property, liability, cyber, specialized risks and Employee Benefits insurance Solutions (life, Medical, Disability).
Support in the evaluation and selection of insurance carriers and brokers; negotiate terms and premiums to achieve optimal coverage.
Support day‑to‑day operations of company‑owned captive, including governance.
Evaluate and propose Insurance programs to be reinsured into the Captive.
Support captive placements, including policy pricing, collateral requirements, capacity limits, policy drafting, issuance, and invoicing.
Conduct risk assessments and loss analyses to identify exposure areas.
Develop, maintain and update insurance analytics and contract inventory.
Coordinate the Management of the claims process, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting.
Ensure adherence to local and international insurance regulations.
Develop and maintain internal insurance policies and procedures aligned with corporate governance.
Prepare annual insurance budgets and forecasts.
Monitor insurance costs and identify opportunities for savings without compromising coverage.
Monitor and report Captive Performances.
Lead the insurance team and provide guidance on best practices.
Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Finance, and operational units to integrate insurance considerations into contracts and projects.
Actively cooperates with EyeMed insurance solution to seek and develop synergies and opportunities to generate value.

Main requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
Professional certifications preferred; MBA is a plus.
Minimum 10 years in insurance or risk management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in International Companies (brokers or Insurances Preferred).
Proven track record in negotiating complex insurance contracts and managing global programs.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Knowledge of underwriting principles, claims processes, and regulatory frameworks.
Leadership and team development.
Strategic decision‑making under uncertainty.
Effective communication and stakeholder management.
Fluent in English – Italian and French are also considered as a plus.
