Sales Line, a headhunting company operating in Italy and Europe for over 140 SMEs and multinational companies, is selecting an R&D Physicist to join a fast‑growing company based in Turin, operating in the MEMS and NEMS technology sector.
Our client is part of a multinational group and develops cutting‑edge technologies with wide-range applications (Life Science, Defense, Industrial Process, Bio‑Medical, Automotive, Aerospace).
Who we are hiring for
We are looking for an R&D Physicist to join the experimental R&D lab. The selected candidate will be involved in prototype development, definition of experimental validation tests, and coordination with the internal R&D team and external suppliers for the realization of dedicated tools and components.
Must have
Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Experimental Physics, or related fields; experience in laboratory experimental activities.
What does the R&D Physicist do?
Designs and performs experiments in the laboratory
Analyzes results and supports quality control
Interfaces with suppliers for specific components
Maintains and updates R&D instruments, prototypes, and devices
Drafts technical reports and presentations
Contributes to scientific publications
Participates in cross‑functional development projects in an international context
Mandatory requirement
PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Physics Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Preferential requirements
Exposure to analytical techniques (e.g., mass spectrometry, optical spectroscopy, plasma processes), or a clear willingness to build skills in these areas.
Hands‑on experience with electronics (design, testing, troubleshooting, or inspection of systems/components), or general confidence working with electronic equipment.
Previous involvement in experimental work—through R&D projects, academic laboratories, thesis research, or similar settings.
Interest in or experience with micro‑fabrication or nanostructuring processes (e.g., PVD, etching, lithography).
Knowledge of statistics, data analysis, or data management tools.
Familiarity with simulation software (such as COMSOL, Simion, or comparable tools), even if only gained through coursework or training projects.
