Widespread technical experience is required for this level without a degreeDemonstrates knowledge of various technologies, instruments, and materialsBroad awareness of division business knowledge (including raw materials market, technology development/trends/brands/products, attributes, and competitors)Understanding of fundamental professional chemistry principles and practicesOperating a variety of laboratory equipmentPerforming basic professional formulating tasksEnsuring compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulationsSolving problems and recommending solutionsPrioritizing daily project tasksWorking with a basic understanding of the commercialization processPC skills: Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applicable applicationsWillingness for occasional travel to customers or laboratories across Europe for product support and collaboration.Our offer to you:Work life balanceCompetitive compensation programCompany bonus planCareer growth opportunities in a truly international environmentInnovation leaders in the protective coatings industrySherwin Academy offers continuous training programs for all seniority levelsAttractive wellbeing, mental health, women & inclusion and ID&E programsPlease note that Sherwin Williams is unable to respond to any enquiries, accept CVs or applications from Recruitment Agencies**ResponsibilitiesConduct analytical testing and development of new or updated formulas, applying foundational chemical knowledge and understanding of product lines and materialsSupport site activities including quality control, formula transfers, and formula management within the ERP systemCollaborate with process teams to optimize formulas and enhance productivityPerform quality investigations, including ARC analyses, and provide data-driven recommendations for formula improvementsDocument test results, project findings, and technical data, exercising independent professional judgmentContribute to cross-functional projects, supporting product development, manufacturing, and quality controlOperate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment while ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and departmental standardsPropose and implement technical solutions, improvements, and validation methods, occasionally guiding junior technicians.
