Org Marketing StatementFor our Engineering Material Group, specifically our NVH (Noise Vibration & Harshness) Division, we are looking for a Quality Leader for our plant in Monzambano, focused on rubber-to-metal and steer-by-wire devices.Position SummaryThe Quality Leader reports hierarchically to the Plant Manager and functionally to the Division Quality Manager;He/She provides leadership and management of quality at the facility, in accordance with all applicable company policies and procedures;His/her responsibility is to ensure that quality, policies, plans, standards, and requirements are met at the facility, maintaining and improving quality, and guaranteeing that quality standards are met, including in relation to new product development and major product modifications;The Quality Leader manages quality staff, coordinates quality engineers' activities, and interfaces routinely with all plant functions, customers, and suppliers.ResponsibilitiesAssures quality requirements are adequately defined and met at all functional levels to permit appropriate quality planning and verification of standards;Provides quality-oriented leadership to achieve facility objectives, aiming at the highest degree of customer service, quality, cost reduction, productivity, while enhancing health and safety standards;Develops and implements systems to proactively plan, implement, and track quality management systems and processes;Interfaces with internal and external customers to provide comprehensive responses and technical assistance regarding the quality management system and/or products;Leads plant error-proofing and detection improvement initiatives through PDCA approach, identifying root causes, and promoting preventive and corrective actions; develops and implements internal and external audits;Champions and sponsors continuous improvement projects by coaching plant teams in effective customer complaint handling, problem solving, and verification activities;Provides high-level technical and operational recommendations to meet material control, product quality, and customer service goals;Communicates customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements to ensure product quality, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction;Implements performance measurements to evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction, and the cost of poor quality;Uses performance results to target improvement efforts;Shares best practices with other staff members;Leads activities related to supplier selection and approval;Assesses supplier capabilities and monitors supplier quality to ensure desired performance levels;Leads internal and external audits.QualificationsMaster's Degree in management engineering or related technical discipline;Effective communication skills in Italian and English, both written and verbal;Self-motivated, results-driven, with analytical and problem-solving skills;Managerial experience, preferably in the automotive sector, with proven leadership and motivation abilities in supervising direct and virtual/project teams;Knowledge of automotive core tools systems such as APQP, MSA, SPC, and IMDS;Familiarity with mechanical design, rubber/plastic molding, assembly lines, electronic board assembly, mechanical processing, die-casting, plastic injection, and sintering;Knowledge of quality standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 (a plus);Experience with quality plans, SPC, FMEA, PPAP;Knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean techniques.
