Quality Assurance Engineer I, HST Health FoundationWe are seeking a passionate Quality Assurance Engineer I to join our growing team. You will be responsible for testing healthcare applications and services, developing test strategies, and ensuring comprehensive quality coverage across our product portfolio. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in quality engineering while making a meaningful impact on global healthcare.ResponsibilitiesExecute comprehensive test plans and test cases for healthcare applications across web, mobile, and API platformsPerform functional, regression, integration, user acceptance, and accessibility testingCollaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteriaIdentify, document, and track defects through resolution using bug tracking systems (JIRA)Participate in design and specification reviews to provide quality engineering perspectiveDevelop and maintain automated test scripts under guidance from senior team membersSupport performance, load, and security testing activitiesEnsure compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, FDA guidelines)Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and demosMaintain comprehensive test documentation and contribute to team knowledge sharingSupport production monitoring and incident response activitiesCollaborate with global teams across different time zones effectivelyAbout the teamJoin Amazon Health's centralized Quality Engineering team in Bangalore, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of healthcare products that impact millions of customers. Our QE team is responsible for comprehensive testing strategies across multiple health-focused applications and services, working closely with development teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.Basic QualificationsExperience in API & Mobile testingPreferred QualificationsExperience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and controlExperience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated industry testingKnowledge of healthcare standards and compliance requirements (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, FDA guidelines)Intermediate scripting skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automationExperience with advanced test automation frameworks (Selenium Grid, Cypress, TestNG)Mobile application testing experience across iOS and Android platformsExperience with AWS services and cloud-based testing approachesKnowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)Understanding of security testing principles and tools (OWASP guidelines)Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and microservices testingFamiliarity with accessibility testing standards (WCAG compliance)Knowledge of test data management and synthetic data generationExperience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Grafana)Understanding of machine learning model testing conceptsCertification in software testing (ISTQB Foundation or similar)Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
