OverviewProject Manager Wind Origination & Development Italy – Rome / Milano. Full time, permanent. Functional area : Project Management; Renewables. Remuneration : N / A. The role is focused on development of Wind projects in Italy from early stage through the investment decision and handover to the construction & operations team following RWE Renewable Group standards and project management guidelines.ResponsibilitiesManage the selection and acquisition of green / brown field, authorized projects or operating assets and coordinates activities inside the team and of consultants, included due-diligence for acquisition of authorized projects or operating assets.The position will be part of the team of Business Development Italy, reporting to the Country Head of Business Development.Deliver assigned projects (development process until FiD of new wind farms or repowering / reconstruction of existing wind farms) according to agreed timeline, budget and quality, providing timely and transparent communication to all function involved (Technical Engineering, Asset Management & Operation, Valuation & Risk Controlling, Legal, HSE, etc.) by setting and updating Gantt charts, with accurate description of tasks, responsibilities and costs according to internal processes.Manage the permitting process including the preparation and / or review of the documentation for EIA (Valutazione di Impatto Ambientale) and Single Permit (Autorizzazione Unica), the relationships with all the involved authorities and bodies, the representation of the interests of innogy during the technical debate (Conferenza dei Servizi) following legal and compliance requirements.Build and cultivate relationships with owners of land parcels affected by the assigned projects in order to establish and maintain a positive link with the local communities in the interest of the project success.Improve project competitiveness, challenging the project assumptions in order to reduce LCoE and / or improve LRoE, in constant cooperation with Investment Manager.Manage directly and / or by coordinating external consultants all the activities related to the assigned project, including site pre-selection and environmental constraints analysis, wind potential assessment, layout definition and optimization, land leases agreements, environmental impact assessment approval, building permit achievement.RequirementsDemonstrate performance orientation, self-motivation to drive the business, increase performance and deliver resultsProven knowledge of the Italian Renewables market, demonstrate competence in scouting and consenting process in Italy as well as proven networkAble to demonstrate commercial awareness and understanding of key commercial drivers to the energy sectorAbility to lead, develop, inspire, manage and delegate effectively across geographiesAbility to collaborate globally in cross functional teams and to effectively communicate internally & externallySelf-reflective personality, able to learn and act on feedbackShow strategic thinking capabilities, push the boundaries to grow the businessShow continuous improvement attitude by constantly optimizing the businessExcellent English & Italian written and oral communication skills, other languages are an advantageValid driving licenseSignificant work experience (5-10 years+) in solar and / or wind development in ItalyDegree (Master or Diploma) in engineering, business administration, economics, law or comparable studiesStrong track record of utility-scale solar and / or onshore wind project developmentStrong knowledge of the Italian Wind and Solar market and stakeholdersProfound and detailed understanding of relevant market dynamicsVery good communication skills and high level assertiveness and communication skills in an international environment and the ability to build effective relationship at all levelsAppreciation for cultural differencesWillingness to travelFluent in Italian and EnglishWe offerWe are part of an energy group with high ambitions for renewable energy and we are in the starting pits for our journey together with approximately 3,500 colleagues in Europe, North and South America, Asia and the Pacific.
