It specializes in producing innovative, turnkey plants such as hot and cold rolling mills, process lines, reheating furnaces, heat treatment lines, mills for long products, meltshops, and continuous casting machines.We are seeking a Project Manager Sales. This role acts as the primary contact and representative for sales projects, both internally and externally. The Project Manager Sales is responsible for creating, submitting, and negotiating competitive bid proposals with customers and aims to secure beneficial contracts for SMS group.Responsibilities include:- Representing SMS group to customers and internally within projects.- Conducting regular project discussions and negotiations with customers and consortium members, documenting outcomes.- Leading core team meetings and documenting results.- Acting as the authorized overall sales project manager, functioning as an "entrepreneur inside the company".- Understanding project goals, requirements, and bid budget.- Defining project strategy in collaboration with the core sales team and project owner.- Managing the core sales team and project budget allocations.- Target costing and project-specific requirement definition.- Acting as the official negotiation contact with customers and contract partners for all technical and commercial matters, in cooperation with the Commercial and Technical Sales Managers.- Convening necessary meetings involving the sales team or contract partners.- Traveling within company travel guidelines.- Requesting project-related data and information.- Holding a written power of attorney for contract negotiations.Qualifications include:- Graduate or Bachelor/Master in Mechanical Engineering or similar.- 3-4 years of experience in technical sales for complex plant manufacturing.- Experience analyzing customer requests and preparing technical offers.- Commercial skills to identify competitive solutions.- Proficiency in reading mechanical technical drawings; basic knowledge of media systems, electrical, and automation packages is preferred.- Coordination skills for managing proposal teams.- Willingness to travel worldwide.- Fluency in English; German is a plus.- Proficiency in Office and basic SAP knowledge; familiarity with drawing tools is a plus.Location: Tarcento (UD).Please send your application by email to veronica.fugazzaro@sms-group.com.
