The Role
The Project Engineer supports the full engineering lifecycle of renewable energy projects from early design through to construction and handover. You'll act as the technical link between design, procurement, site operations, and external engineering partners, ensuring that all project deliverables meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead engineering activities and prioritise work based on the project schedule
Perform cross-checks and verification of executive designs prepared internally or by external engineering partners
Act as the interface between external engineering teams and the internal Engineering Department
Ensure design deliverables are issued on time and in line with local norms and authorised standards
Verify compliance with relevant regulations and company technical standards
Support the Project Manager during procurement and contract preparation
Assist in preparing subcontract requisitions and running tenders with local subcontractors
Provide engineering support to the site team, including coordination with suppliers when required
Requirements
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related fields
Experience in EPC or utility-scale renewable energy projects
Strong understanding of engineering standards, regulatory frameworks, and design deliverables
Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Fluent in Italian and English
