Wood is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join its Projects – Process and Chemical team focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical, and Energy industries. The position will be based in the Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.
The Role
You will assist the Senior Project Engineer in coordinating the engineering team and preparing multidisciplinary documents that require interaction with several technical disciplines. You will attend technical project reviews with the client, such as P&ID review, HAZOP, 3D model review, and ensure all client comments are captured in the design. You will also be assigned to the construction site to give technical assistance during the erection of the plant.

Responsibilities

Mechanize and update the P&IDs, from the first process issue up to the issue for construction and “as built”
Prepare the Equipment List, the Line List, the Fluid List, the Tie‑in List
Coordinate with other project engineers in Wood Global Execution Center (India)
Prepare Material Requisitions for filters, special items and other miscellaneous equipment and coordinate with vendors
Prepare the Hazardous Area Classification and the Fire Hazardous Area
Support the Senior Project Engineer or Engineering Manager in the technical coordination of the engineering disciplines
Attend project review with client
Attend project review with client
Assigned to construction site

Expected

Educated to degree level in mechanical, chemical or energy engineering
Self‑motivation, flexibility, a proactive outlook and good communication skills
Fluent in English / good Italian
Availability to be relocated abroad
