This is an opportunity to join a well-funded and fast-growing renewable energy developer with operations across multiple European countries. Backed by a strong financial sponsor and led by a team of experienced energy professionals, the company is delivering high-quality solar PV and energy storage projects across Italy and beyond.The Italian business opened its office in late 2024 and is actively expanding to support a growing project pipeline.The company currently has 20+ solar and storage projects in active development across Italy, ranging from 3–10 MW for solar PV and 50–100 MW for BESS. These numbers are expected to triple by year-end, with larger-scale projects planned as regulatory conditions evolve.You’ll be joining a close-knit team and working directly with the Country Manager.What You’ll DoAs Project Development Manager, you’ll take the lead on solar PV, agriPV, and BESS projects across Italy, managing them from land assessment to Ready-to-Build (RtB). You’ll be responsible for :Leading site identification, grid and land feasibility studiesManaging permitting processes at the national, regional, and local levels (PAS, AU, PAUR)Coordinating with internal teams and external consultants to meet project milestonesEngaging with local authorities, landowners, and stakeholders to secure approvalsEnsuring environmental and technical compliance across the entire development cycleMaintaining oversight of project timelines, documentation, and permitting risksWhat We’re Looking For2+ years of experience developing utility-scale solar PV projects in ItalyStrong knowledge of Italian permitting frameworks (PAS, VIA, AU, PAUR)Hands-on experience with grid connections, environmental permitting, and authorisationsStrong understanding of legal / technical documentation and development risksAble to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlinesProficiency with financial modelling assumptions and project economics (Excel-level)Collaborative, independent, and adaptable to a dynamic project pipelineExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsFluent Italian (native-level) and professional working English are requiredWhat’s on OfferA high-impact role in a lean and agile development team with strong financial supportHybrid work model : 3 days in office, 2 days remote (your choice of days)Competitive salary package :55,000–€70,000 base salary10% performance bonusAdditional KPI and project-based bonusesPotential relocation assistance and company carLong-term career growth opportunities as the team scales toward gigawatt-level ambitionsDoes this sound like you?
