Job Description
Translated is looking for an experienced Product Localization Project Manager to work with one of our top Enterprise clients. The ideal candidate has experience at the Client side; Vendor side experience is an additional preference. We seek candidates who can learn fast and be fully up to speed with the role within the first month at the latest. The client assigns buddies and provides shadowing opportunities, but you will learn on the job during your first assignments.
You will spend 100% of your time embedded in the client's Localization program management team and collaborate with high‑performing Program Managers, Project Managers, and QA Managers to launch internationally. This is a full client‑side role.
The role is fully remote; the client team has frequent dynamic Slack communications and meets on Zoom. If you prefer camera‑on participation, you will thrive in this environment. Your time will be spent across launches you own and managing deliverables for launches owned by other team members.
Responsibilities
Accountable for all localization deliverables to requesting teams in your portfolio; project‑manage the timely and accurate localization of all requested assets in collaboration with Translated.
Coordinate Localization QAs with the client's QA PM for every launch.
Proactively partner with internal client teams and functions to deliver world‑class globalized product features, community support content, and marketing campaigns that are culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate.
Influence content, design, and internationalization: ensure all aspects are ready for target markets and bring a global perspective to cross‑functional launching teams.
Leverage the client's network of in‑country Language Managers, local Marketing Managers, and Sales Operations contacts to help cross‑functional teams recognize and integrate international requirements from the start.
Advise and agree on the most appropriate localization strategy for each launch, promote best practices, and partner with the launching team PM to integrate localization milestones into the launch schedule.
Act as an owner and entrepreneur—drive initiatives, be proactive, and action‑oriented.
Ensure pertinent information is proactively communicated and understood throughout the global team and relevant product development teams.
Own the creation and management of high‑level Localization project and program timelines.
Provide up‑to‑date visibility into large projects and progress against team goals.
Requirements
5+ years in Localization Program Management, helping product and marketing teams launch internationally.
This remote role requires work in Pacific Time Zone working hours; preference for candidates residing in the US Pacific time zone or similar time zones.
Experience at the Client side; Vendor side experience is an additional preference.
Comfort with Zoom meetings requiring camera‑on participation.
Track record of managing and releasing complex, high‑quality globalized products and marketing campaigns beyond content translation.
Deep knowledge of the localization process and what it takes to create authentic local experiences.
Self‑starter, self‑motivated, outcome‑oriented, and seeks ownership and accountability.
Comfortable with ambiguity in a fluid organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication—concise, fact‑based, and informative.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
Passionate about excellence and attention to detail.
Thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
Ability to travel to San Francisco or other locations twice a year for global in‑person gatherings.
