We seek a skilled Procurement professional to oversee procurement processes, focusing on spacecraft components and sub-systems. Your role will be to procure high-quality products at competitive prices, within timelines, and ensure adherence to budgets, driving profitability through strategic procurement. Collaboration across departments like Technical, Sales, Finance, Program Management, Production, and Quality is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesOrganize procurement plans, execute requisitions and purchase orders for direct materials and services, including spacecraft sub-systems, testing services, machined parts, composites, electronic boards, and components.Liaise with internal teams to determine their needs.Monitor market trends and product availability to secure the best prices without compromising quality or delivery.Develop and nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms.Research potential new suppliers and products.Support make-or-buy analyses.Coordinate engineering changes, product line extensions, or new launches to ensure smooth transitions.Perform risk assessments on supply chain.Work with legal to ensure favorable contracts.Maintain business partner and purchase data in ERP system.Report to the Head of Procurement.Required SkillsStrong interpersonal, networking, and negotiation skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.Data analysis capabilities.Superior organizational skills.Understanding of supply chain management and ERP systems.Proactive attitude, ability to work independently and in teams.5+ years of procurement experience in aerospace, electronics, or similar fields.Bachelor's or higher degree in aerospace, electronic engineering, automation, or related areas.Fluency in Italian and English.Nice-to-HaveExperience procuring sub-systems or parts for space applications.At D-Orbit, we value diversity and inclusivity, fostering a respectful environment that celebrates unique backgrounds and perspectives.
