Job TitleProcurement ManagerLocationVignate (MI)OverviewFor our Strategic Sourcing division we are looking for a Procurement Manager who will select, manage and coordinate suppliers to meet company goals in regards to quality, delivery and cost. He/She will also implement accurate process of evaluation of supplier proposals and strategic competition approach.ResponsibilitiesDevelops a qualified mix of Best Cost Countries and Local/Regional supply base to support current and anticipated material requirements, both for New Products and existing Product Portfolio.Supports Sourcing activities related to the procurement of goods and/or materials as assigned including source selection and Price/Lead Time benchmarking/negotiation.Interacts across the company in New Product Development, Innovation to Value (I2V) and Price Productivity projects and meets critical deadlines to support New Product launches along with committed cost target.Supports cost out opportunities by negotiating with current supplier base and scouting source change opportunities, in line with corporate goals and guidelines.Works with Category Teams and key Plant Functions to ensure a robust process-driven and seamless introduction of new suppliers and effective management of current ones.Matches new parts to be purchased with best-in-class suppliers through item enrichment, lead time and cost considerations to support production timelines and goals.Engages in negotiations with suppliers to support corporate goals in terms of Net Working Capital.Supports reporting activities on a regular basis analyzing price differences for purchased parts.Other responsibilities as assigned or required.QualificationsBS/BA (or international equivalent) in a technical or business major.10+ years of experience in a Buyer role preferred, preferably in the industrial sector.Technical background preferred.Fluent in English (written and spoken).Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage and improve processes.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take initiative, work independently and drive implementation.Accustomed to an international work environment with a proven track record of successful negotiations with vendors and internal customers.Strong communication skills and ability to work successfully in team structures around the world.Strong quantitative and analytical skills; robust understanding of technical drawings.Ability to create spreadsheets, charts and reports containing relevant performance and projections data.SAP knowledge preferred.Travel & Work Arrangements/RequirementsApprox. 20% of travel required.What We OfferDynamic international working environmentSmart Working Policy and flexible working timeEquity Grant programWelfare programInternal canteenLinkedIn learning accessDiversity & InclusionIngersoll Rand is committed to diversity in our workforce and to equal opportunity for all applicants.
