Since 2018, Agap2 Italia has been operating in Italy in the following sectors : Energy, Oil & Gas, Steel, Hydrogen, Power Generation, Construction.ABOUT THE ROLE - Process SafetyWe are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Process Safety Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out risk assessments, facilitating hazard identification studies, and ensuring the application of safety standards and methodologies across complex process plants.LOCATIONWHENASAPREQUIREMENTSDegree in Chemical Engineering , Process Engineering , or a related fieldProven experience (typically 5+ years) in Process Safety Engineering within Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Energy sectorsStrong working knowledge of HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, SIL , and QRA methodologiesFamiliarity with relevant standards (IEC 61508 / 61511, ISO 31000, API RP 754, etc.)Excellent analytical and reporting skillsFluent in English (spoken and written); Italian or other languages are a plusAbility to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teamsMAIN RESPONSABILITIESLead and participate in HAZOP , HAZID , LOPA and SIL studies for new and existing process unitsDevelop and review Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) and ensure their integration into project safety strategySupport the definition and verification of Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) and related instrumentation architectureProvide safety input to process design teams and ensure alignment with relevant international and client standards (e.g. IEC 61508 / 61511, API, ISO)Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety deliverables are aligned with project milestonesSupport the development and update of safety philosophies, design safety reports, and emergency response documentsEnsure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements in process safetyThe world needs youAGAP2 is an equal opportunities employer : we believe that all forms of diversity are a source of mutual enrichment.
