Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers EngineerCompany: NEXTCHEM, a leading sustainable technology solutions provider, is seeking an innovative engineer to join the NX Engineering District of Catania.OverviewAs a key member of the team, you will drive the development, optimization, and supply of static equipment for advanced petrochemical and oleochemical processes, contributing to the energy transition.MissionLead responsibilities for static equipment projects, ensuring technical compliance, budget adherence, and schedule execution.Manage the end‑to‑end supply chain from quotation to delivery for static vessel and heat exchanger equipment, coordinating with procurement and inspection.Key Activities & ResponsibilitiesPrepare project execution strategy and schedule in coordination with Project Manager and Engineering Head.Develop mechanical data, 2D drawings, and material requisitions for reactors, columns, vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers.Execute vendor evaluations, assist procurement in bid tabulation, and shortlist vendors.Maintain and update static equipment discipline procedures, guidelines, and standards.Engage client representatives and vendors on technical topics impacting cost and schedule.Support inspection and construction departments as required.Provide feedback on issues and improvement of standard methods to enhance department effectiveness.Deliver technical training and share expertise across the group.Keep abreast of discipline‑specific technical improvements.CompetencesExperience with static equipment for petrochemical or oleochemical applications (vessels, heat exchangers, air coolers, filters, columns, reactors, storage).Review and customize client specifications, prepare equipment supply and design specifications, and create purchase requisitions.Prepare mechanical data sheets using 2D CAD, design software, and perform technical bid evaluations.Review vendor engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documents; interface with other disciplines and departments.Knowledge of API, ASME, ANSI, PED Directive, TEMA, EN, and other process industry codes and standards.Deliver accurate project deliverables and maintain project schedules and man‑hour budgets.Skills & RequirementsMechanical Engineering degree.+2/3 years of experience in a similar role.Fluent English speaking and writing.Willingness to travel for work.Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment.Seniority LevelAssociateEmployment TypeFull‑timeJob FunctionOil and Gas, Engineering Services.Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at NEXTCHEM.
