Power System Analysis and Solution Algorithms EngineerJoin Hitachi Energy as a Power System Analysis and Solution Algorithms Engineer, driving cutting‑edge innovation in power grid applications through advanced modeling, optimization, and software development.ResponsibilitiesDesign innovative approaches for grid operation and deliver them as robust software modules.Translate real power‑system problems into rigorous models and develop final solutions for customers.Collaborate with a global, interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers, driving development from concept to production.Build relationships within the company and with external partners, incorporating diverse perspectives.Communicate concepts clearly to software developers, implementation teams, and customers; produce design documents and reusable examples.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent industry experience.Proven modeling and steady‑state analysis expertise in power grids, with hands‑on software implementation.Knowledge of mathematical optimization for power systems (MIP, NLP, stochastic), with tools such as Gurobi, CPLEX, IPOPT.Proficiency in C#, C++, Rust, or similar high‑level language; Python/Matlab for analytics and prototyping.Experience with modern software engineering practices (version control, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) and integration of solution algorithms.High‑performance computing skills (parallel/distributed computing, GPU, OpenMP, MPI) are a plus.Excellent English communication, team player, initiative, creativity.BenefitsHitachi Energy offers competitive benefits to support your financial, physical, and mental well‑being and personal development.
