Descrizione Lavoro
Postdoctoral Researcher – Circuit Reconstruction & Regenerative Neuroscience (ERC CUSTOM_MADE)Department of Neuroscience, University of Turin, ItalyProjectWe aim to rebuild functional striatal circuits by grafting human striatal progenitors with optimized properties in preclinical models of Huntington’s disease, combining circuit‑tracing with single‑cell and spatial omics.ResponsibilitiesDevise strategies and tools for single‑neuron input/output mapping integrated with molecular profiling (e.g., viral barcoding, retro/anterograde tracers).Analyze single‑cell/nucleus and spatial transcriptomics datasets; integrate multi‑omics.Develop and maintain reproducible bioinformatics pipelines and contribute to data/documentation best practices.Required qualifications and desired skillsPhD in neuroscience, bioinformatics/computational biology, bioengineering or related.Track record in one or more: single‑cell/spatial omics, molecular barcoding, viral circuit tracing.Proficiency in R/Python; statistics for high‑dimensional data.Molecular biology experience (cloning/molecular barcodes technologies) is welcome.Nice to have (not required): hPSC engineering/differentiation (e.g., CRISPR/AAV).Environment & resourcesThe candidate will integrate in a lab with strong multidisciplinary interests, and within a stimulating partnership across molecular neuroscience, bioengineering, stem cell, systems biology, and regenerative medicine.TermsFull‑time, initial 2‑year contract with possibility of renewal; salary commensurate with experience.Start date: first half of 2026.Please send one PDF to annalisa.buffo@unito.it containing:1. your CV2. 1-page cover letter describing fit and a recent project3. contact info for at least 2 referees.Subject: Postdoc CUSTOM_MADE – YourNameReview is rolling until filled; shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview.
