Job title: Plant Engineer (fixed term role)Location: RietiAbout the RoleThe role involves overseeing utilities and facility management, ensuring compliance with GMP operations, and collaborating on expansion and improvement projects while maintaining safety and efficiency at the Takeda Rieti Facility. Responsibilities include managing site utilities budgets and coordinating with maintenance and procurement for effective asset management.How you will contributeThis role is accountable for equipment management, troubleshooting, projects, preventive maintenance, and sustainability programs related to facility utilities, including Black Utility Systems. You will establish and implement technical standards, operating procedures, and specifications in compliance with regulatory and Takeda requirements.You will provide facility and utilities engineering support to ensure stable, efficient, and robust operations at the site. Supporting the operations team in maintaining an effective lifecycle process for support equipment/assets, you will ensure maintenance excellence and a reliable program. You will own the installed support equipment regarding technical capability, functionality, and KPIs. Maintaining the facility and utility engineering areas in an inspection-ready, GMP-compliant state is also part of your responsibilities.You will support qualification and validation programs for your equipment and assist in planning and executing site capital investment projects, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. You will also support and control the site CAPEX and equipment lifecycle, establishing and maintaining best-in-class utilities engineering systems and methodologies.Providing management oversight of major maintenance activities, including scheduled plant shutdowns, you will ensure organizational agility for timely responses and operational issue resolution.What you bring to TakedaBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (civil or industrial preferred)Knowledge of facilities equipment and utility systems, especially firefighting systems and general civil scopeExperience in designing, commissioning, and delivering facility and utilities engineering projects, including with public authorizationKnowledge of process equipment, instrumentation, controls, and automation within operational facilitiesUnderstanding of demand-side energy analytics and managementTeam player capable of embracing ongoing business needs and requestsProven abilities in high-value project and program managementMore about usAt Takeda, we are transforming patient care through novel pharmaceuticals and patient support programs.
