RINA is currently recruiting for a Piedmont, Liguria & Valle D'Aosta Certification Senior Lead Auditor to join its office in Turin or Genoa within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.MissionRINA is looking for a Lead Auditor who will play a crucial role in leading energy and environmental management systems and sustainability audits. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the Italian operational structure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational goals.Key AccountabilitiesAudit Program: Prepare, manage, and control the audit program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards. Document Review: Conduct thorough reviews of customer management system documents, including manuals, procedures, instructions, files, and records, to verify compliance and accuracy. Audit Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and execution of audits and coordination with relevant stakeholders. Participate in and lead audits, conducting interviews, note-taking, and assessing the implementation of management systems. Audit Result Definition: Identify and define audit results (Positive and negative findings as non conformities, opportunity of improvement); Report Generation: Draw up comprehensive audit reports detailing findings and recommendations for certification decisions. Follow-Up Management: Manage the follow-up process, including tracking non-conformities and corrective actions, ensuring resolution and compliance. Technical Review and Certification: Conduct technical reviews of audit files and propose certification decisions based on thorough analysis. Skill Maintenance: Keep skills, qualifications, and certifications up to date by staying informed about industry standards and best practices. Resource Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of resources involved in the certification process, providing guidance and support as needed. Data Management: Maintain updated records of customer data and other information relevant to the audit process. Customer Engagement: Manage technical meetings with customers, fostering positive relationships and addressing any technical concerns. Large and Complex Customer Management: Independently manage large and complex customer contracts, ensuring the effective delivery of multiservice and/or multisite audits.EducationBachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Energy EngineeringQualifications6+ years of experience in work activities, consultancy or audit, specifically within management systems or industry standards (Management Systems ISO 14001, ISO 50001, UNI 11352, ISO 20121, Bioliquids and Biofuels certification schemes - ISSC, Emission Trading System ETS, etc.), with at least 2 years of work experience in the field of sustainabilityWork activities, consultancy or audit in the field of greenhouse gas declarations (GHG inventories, GHG reduction projects, carbon footprint, climate neutrality), EPD, certification services for fuel quality directive/renewables, bioenergy, circular economy, bio-based economy and knowledge of the main reporting standards (GRI, ESRS, etc.)Strong understanding of audit planning, execution, and reporting processesProven ability to lead and manage audit programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry requirementsExpertise in conducting document reviews, identifying non-conformities and providing actionable recommendationsSkilled in technical reviews and defining audit results, including corrective actionsExcellent communication skills for conducting interviews, reporting findings, and engaging with customersIn-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and continuous improvement methodologiesStrong ability to monitor resource performance and ensure compliance with audit requirementsUp-to-date qualifications and certifications, including Lead Auditor certification (ISO, etc.)Knowledge of written and spoken EnglishCompetenciesPROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role ModelMANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactionsPIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstancesBUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organizationMAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraintADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective wayTHINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the futureCLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfactionEARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversityRINA is a multinational company providing a wide range of services in the energy, marine, certification, infrastructure & mobility, industry, research & development sectors.
