Permitting Specialist (Renewable Energy Team)
Location: Milan, Italy
By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in driving the permitting processes that power our renewable energy projects, contributing to our mission of sustainable energy generation.
Your Role Will Encompass
Identifying and evaluating new renewable energy business opportunities, including Greenfield and Brownfield projects, joint ventures, and acquisitions, while ensuring compliance with permitting and regulatory requirements
Leading the permitting process by managing documentation, timelines, and relationships with authorities to secure timely approvals for project development, installation, and operation
Negotiating interconnection agreements with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), Transmission System Operators (TSOs), and joint ventures related to grid infrastructure
Collaborating with internal and external multidisciplinary teams to prepare and submit comprehensive permitting documents, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to approval conditions
Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, including local and regional authorities, landowners, and technical teams, to expedite approvals and mitigate risks
What You Bring To The Role
2+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a strong focus on permitting and compliance
A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, engineering, environmental science, or related fields
MSc or MBA will be considered an asset
Proven experience with grid interconnection agreements, expropriation processes, and negotiations with landowners
Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, BESS, etc.), local regulations, and technical configurations
Exceptional networking skills with local and regulatory authorities
Fluency in Italian and English
