OverviewThis role can be based in Milano or Alessandria Area. The People Operations Leader leads the Italy People Operations team to execute and deliver on global PO strategies and goals and local initiatives in Italy; drive continuous improvement for Operational Excellence and enhanced Customer Experience. Develop a highly engaged Italy People Operations team to enable leaders for local workforce development and engagement to support business growth.ResponsibilitiesImplement the global people operations strategies by aligning and delivering on the goals and priorities of People Operations Italy through a highly engaged team.Continuously improve team engagement by creating learning and development opportunities, performance coaching and feedback, support to team member’s career progressions and recognitions of individual / team accomplishments and PPG Way behaviors.Increase efficiency of the Italy PO team by providing role clarity and defined accountabilities and helping people to do their best.Drive continuous improvement in people processes for better team productivity, operational excellence and enhanced customer experienceEnable leaders to improve local / country workforce capabilitiesInfluence PPG leaders to increase Diversity, Equity & Inclusion representation and engagement of local / country workforceExecute organizational changes / restructures in partnership with HRBPs and country / site business leadersManage successful integrations of new acquisitions into PPG ItalyFlawlessly execute and simplify fundamental HR processes and harmonization of policies / rules in ItalyOversight and accountability for Italy Payroll teamDevelopment and delivery of ER / LR strategy, including close collaboration with unionsDrive & implement change in HR practices across PO team as well as with key business partners & managers / employeesSupport the delivery of HR services through centralized support center (PPSC) through strong partnership and ability to identify additional work to be supported by PPSC and technology (Service Now, Workday)Actively participate in regional & global PO projects for self-development and contribution to global PO accomplishments.Minimum QualificationsUniversity Degree10+ years of general HR experience with 3-5 years leading a team of > 5 people.Strong business and continuous improvement mind-setDirect experience with industrial relations & union negotiationsSkillsHigh level of ability to collaborate and to engage with key partners (business leaders, HRBP’s, CoEs, PPSC, CI, etc)Solid team leadership (mentor, engaging, performance management, developing top talent and successions)Data analytics and data driven decision makingProficient project management skillsLean Six Sigma (LSS) mind-set driving continuous improvementProficient EnglishImpeccable integrity; Outstanding interpersonal skills; able to communicate and engage personnel at all levels of the organization.If you have the interpersonal abilities to work optimally with employees at all levels of the organization, and move from strategic to tactical with ease, we want to hear from you!About UsPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLDThe PPG WayEvery single day at PPG :We partner with customers to create mutual value.We are insightful, dedicated and proactive.
