About the Role
As a Packaging Engineer, you will manage new NPI projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and creating packaging specifications for primary, secondary and tertiary items.
Responsibilities

Design and develop packaging designs for new and existing products, including e‑commerce.
Source and evaluate packaging materials with supplier support, considering cost, sustainability and performance.
Develop specifications, conduct trials to ensure compliance with all requirements and regulations.
Collaborate with marketing, category, R&D, quality and manufacturing teams.
Lead laboratory and line trials and transport tests during implementation.
Manage packaging projects from conception to production, including timelines and budgets.
Maintain all packaging documentation and records.
Identify and deliver packaging cost‑savings initiatives.
Support the Quality Team to improve consumer experience and customer requirements.

Experience

At least 3 years in the packaging industry.

Skills

Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and testing procedures.
Excellent communication, project management and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with PLM, SAP and design software.
Proficient problem‑solving methodology.
