Job Description: OSS Assurance Telecom Business Analyst
Location: Italy (Rome region)
We are seeking a Telecom OSS/BSS Specialist to act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for an ongoing customer project in Italy. This role requires technical expertise in Performance Management to support all business analysis activities needed to implement a full Performance Management ecosystem for the Operations and Engineering areas. The ideal candidate should be comfortable engaging with multiple technical and operational teams, ensuring alignment between customer needs/expectations and product capabilities.
The professional will represent the company on-site in Italy and act as the coordination link between the customer and the internal engineering, delivery and product teams in Portugal.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary SPOC in an active OSS Assurance project with a Tier-1 Italian CSP.
Learn the product functionalities and how to conduct solution specifications to align the possible/required customizations with the customer’s needs.
Work on requirements with the different customer areas, contributing to requirement specifications, technical manuals, etc., aligned with the solution scope.
Map the network architecture to analytical data types/models, define network KPIs according to the network architecture/vendors/technology ecosystem, and propose and discuss reporting/dashboard consumption needs.
Participate in User Acceptance Test (UAT) phases at the customer site, supporting end users and monitoring the progress of testing activities.
Provide training sessions to end users on configuration and usage features of the product/solution being delivered.
Deliver workshop sessions to align project needs, conduct reviews, or present product/solution features.
Support requirement clarification, expectation alignment and delivery follow-ups with the customer teams.
Escalate risks, gaps or dependencies in a structured and proactive manner.

Internal Coordination

Maintain strong alignment with internal engineering team, delivery and product teams.
Participate in internal project meetings.
Provide structured reporting on customer activities, progress, risks and identify competitive landscapes.
Share customer feedback to improve product roadmap and long-term strategy.

Project Farming

Identify new opportunities, additional use cases and potential extensions of the existing solution.
Qualify early technical-commercial opportunities and structure them for internal evaluation.
Contribute to long-term customer account reinforcement.

Required Expertise & Background

Solid background in telecommunications, specifically in OSS/BSS architectures and operations processes.
Engineering degree (BSc or MSc) in IT, ICT or Telecommunications.
Knowledge of TM Forum definitions, standards and initiatives in the Network Assurance domain.
Understanding of mobile network architectures, their major components—mainly within the RAN and Core domains—and key network features.
Preferred experience in OSS Assurance domains such as Network Monitoring and Performance Management.
Previous experience working with telecom operators, vendors or system integrators.
Ability to engage in technical deep-dive discussions regarding data models, network KPIs and network architectures (primarily mobile, RAN and Core).
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust in complex customer environments.
Comfortable coordinating between technical and business teams.
Fluency in Italian and English.

Travel Requirements
This role requires regular weekly travel to Rome and occasional to Naples, ensuring presence in project meetings, customer follow-up sessions, technical-commercial discussions and relationship building. Additional travel may occur occasionally to Portugal.
