The application of proprietary methods and technologies, based on FOG (Fiber Optic Gyroscope) and MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology, enables the company to best meet the specific needs of its customers.Founded as a start-up in 2012 in Italy, listed company on Euronext Milan since 2022 and now part of Honeywell (acquisition and delisted completed in August 2024).Job DescriptionThe candidate will focus on developing the skills required to operate as a specialized technician in Inertial Measurement Unit assembly in the Engineering Model Manufacturing Laboratory.Responsibilities and DutiesAcquire knowhow in I-FOG (Interferometric Fiber Optic Gyroscopes) applied to inertial navigation systems.Understand procedures and diagnostic methodologies for I-FOG.Use an arc fusion splicer and recoater.Use optical instrumentation (optical power meter, polarization extinction ratio meter, Optical spectrum analyzer).Have good manual skills.Develop optical fiber handling skills.Develop mechanical assembly skills.Work independently.Qualification and SkillsHigh School diploma or Bachelor's degree in scientific disciplines.Knowledge of Office suite (Word, Excel).Self-starter capability.Multidisciplinary attitude and team working capability.Passion for work, patience, and a smart learning attitude.Fluent knowledge of the Italian language and basic knowledge of the English language.
