WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Operations Engineer (Linux and Kubernetes) – Space Mission
Join our client’s team in Rome. With over 30 years of experience, our client is a trusted partner of European governments and international organizations, specializing in IT and space services, supporting Earth observation missions, data processing, and applied research.
YOUR TASKS
Oversee real-time monitoring and operation of ESA missions to ensure integrity and performance.
Diagnose, resolve, and prevent operational issues to minimize downtime.
Analyze system performance, identify improvements, and optimize processes.
Develop scripts to automate tasks and enhance efficiency.
Assist with new projects, software changes, and system integrations.
Maintain clear operational procedures and technical documentation.
Perform routine application maintenance for optimal system performance.
YOUR SKILLS
Proficient in Linux, Shell Scripting, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of storage solutions and cloud technologies.
Expertise in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process optimization.
Understanding of networking concepts.
Experience in requirements analysis, project planning, and reporting.
Excellent command of English (B2 or higher).
Ability to explain complex technical concepts.
NICE TO HAVE
Knowledge of Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, HTML, XML, Apache, Tomcat, Python, OpenLDAP, and databases like MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of ESA Environment and satellite mission standards.
Experience in monitoring and operating satellite missions.

Ability to work in an international environment.
