We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Outdoor Pursuits Assistant to support the Outdoor Pursuits (OP) team at Tenuta Toscana, a luxury residential destination nestled in the heart of Tuscany.
This role is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of authentic and engaging outdoor experiences that reflect the unique charm of the Tuscan landscape and lifestyle. The OP Assistant will work alongside the Outdoor Pursuits Manager, helping ensure every activity runs smoothly and each guest interaction reflects the warmth, quality, and attention to detail that define the Tenuta Toscana experience.
Main duties and responsibilities

Support the flawless delivery of safe and outstanding outdoor experiences that delight members, guests, and prospects
Assist in supervising and accompanying members during activities, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout
Maintain thorough knowledge of activities and equipment to provide expert guidance and support to guests and team members
Help create a welcoming and organized outdoor environment that enhances the overall experience
Deliver personalized service by recognizing guest preferences and adapting activities accordingly
Promote outdoor programs through informative materials and engaging briefings to encourage member and guest participation
Assist with the daily set-up and breakdown of outdoor activities and equipment
Support the OP Manager in coordinating schedules, staffing, and inventory counts as needed
Attend department meetings and trainings to stay aligned with team goals and standards
Assist in organizing special or seasonal outdoor events, supporting logistics and member reception
Report safety or maintenance concerns promptly
Maintain all equipment and materials in proper working order, ensuring cleanliness and safe storage
Monitor weather conditions regularly and promptly inform the team and members of any changes affecting outdoor activities
Always adhere to company safety policies, including compliance when operating company vehicles
Assist others in the safe and correct use of outdoor equipment through demonstrations and guidance
Track daily activity reports and operational metrics to support the smooth running of programs
Actively engage in sustainability and environmental stewardship initiatives to preserve the natural beauty of Tenuta Toscana
Perform light housekeeping tasks within the Outdoor Pursuits area to support a clean and organized environment
Serve as a role model of professionalism, hospitality, and ethical behavior, inspiring others through knowledge, attitude, and commitment to confidentiality
Uphold the values and standards of Tenuta Toscana through professionalism, respect, positive engagement, and courtesy in all member and team interactions
Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive approach in adapting to changing needs, schedules, and guest expectations
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, serving as a trusted ambassador for the Outdoor Pursuits program

Requirements

Previous experience in similar roles within outdoor, recreational, sports or hospitality environments
Strong educational background, with preference for studies in tourism, sports management, hospitality, or related fields
Valid driver’s license with proven experience in safe operation of company vehicles
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Italian; proficiency in a third language is a plus
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate guest preferences and deliver a personalized experience with grace and professionalism
Able to multitask efficiently while maintaining great attention to detail and staying focused under pressure
High level of responsibility and reliability, especially regarding safety and adherence to procedures
Full-time contract in accordance with the Italian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL)
