JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: OCS Specialist, Italy – Please submit CV in EnglishLocation: Rome, Padua, ItalyReports to: Country Manager – ItalyThe OCS Specialist for Italy will be responsible for the clinical aspects of the Organ Care System (OCS Lung / Liver / Heart) and supports the use of the OCS in Italy and other countries/geographies as needed.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:Following hands‑on training and OCS Certification in all relevant organ platforms, will apply OCS knowledge during organ retrieval, preservation, transport and assessment according to TransMedics protocols and policiesTo the extent allowable by law, works full‑time on a variable on‑call schedule to ensure coverage of cases that may occur anytime, including nights, weekends and holidays.Travels as needed to clinical sites within EU transplant network and potentially other geographies to support OCS cases as described above.While supporting OCS cases, communicates regularly with the TransMedics EU Clinical Programs and Training Lead to relay real time updates and elevate issuesSupports national and regional events by providing clinical expertise to the sales team, customers, and prospective customersPrepares (with support and review of senior colleagues) and presents internal case reviews following the use of OCSManages equipment stored at logistics hub in Rome or Padua on a weekly basis (preventative maintenance, inventory counts and testing)May support site initiation, assist with refresher training and provide clinical guidance to clinical usersCollaborates with cross‑functional TransMedics departments in driving adoption of the OCS technology in the Italian market and potentially beyondAssists with delivering training to the sales team about OCS functionalityConducts literature analysis and presents findings to managementConducts market and competitive analysisMay attend national and international congressesPerforms other TransMedics tasks and duties as requiredREQUIREMENTS:Must be fluent in written and spoken Italian and EnglishMust reside close to one of the hubsMust hold a degree in Techniques of Cardiocirculatory Pathophysiology and Vascular Perfusion (or equivalent) plus at least 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting or BSN with experience in CVICU, CVOR, CATH LAB, ED, or Transplant or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be highly flexible and willing to support sites on nights, holidays and weekends, as neededMust be detail oriented with strong organizational skillsOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to establish and maintain long term trusted relationships (internally and externally)Excellent customer facing and customer engagement skillsStrong work ethic and accountable for personal & organizational resultsProven track record of working calmly and professionally in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environmentAbility to adjust to changing priorities.Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Concur expense management
