The Global Network Delivery organization is hiring a highly motivated Network Project Lead to join our growing team within AWS Data Center Delivery. The candidate will work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and to develop innovative ways to automate and scale our network as we expand. The role may require international travel to support other clusters’ projects.The Network Project Lead will scale support for several data center locations and be responsible for day-to-day assistance with capacity management. They will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Technical Program Managers, the Network Deployment Planning team, infrastructure supply chain & procurement, and network engineering teams.Ideally, the candidate will have a technical background that enables understanding of the complexities of Amazon data center network architecture. They must be highly autonomous, detail-oriented, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and have experience managing network deployment projects. Competence in networking principles, data center operations, cabling infrastructure, and fiber solutions is expected. This role emphasizes autonomous work with minimal supervision to drive network stability and growth, in a fast-paced, ambiguous, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will leverage this technical knowledge to lead teams and optimize project delivery.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelors Degree in IT-related field or equivalent experience, with relevant professional certifications and 5+ years of network infrastructure experience.Proven track record of at least 2 years managing large-scale, complex network implementation projects in telecommunications or network deployments.Strong knowledge of network hardware, infrastructure, and industry-standard deployment practices.Proven project management skills including budgeting, risk management, and resource planning. Strong organizational abilities and willingness to travel required.Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with experience in project scheduling and stakeholder management.
