Job Description Summary
The Patient Care Technician performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for hospitalized patients. The care is provided under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs other duties related to the work described herein.

Responsibilities

Assist nursing team with patient care activities and related services.
Help patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and walking.
Change bed linens and assist with patient transportation to tests and procedures.
Serve and collect food trays; provide patients with between-meal nourishment.
Record temperature or vital signs under the supervision of a nurse.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or GED preferred.
Completion of an approved nursing assistant course preferred.
Previous experience or coursework preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; BLS certification required.
