As part of this vision, we are seeking a Neuroscience Account Manager (NAM) to lead territory sales performance and deliver exceptional customer experience. In this role, the candidate will combine strong analytical and influencing skills to ensure the successful implementation of corporate strategies in their assigned territory, achievement of sales objectives, and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Collaboration with marketing, Alzheimer’s ecosystem managers, market access, corporate affairs, and medical professionals to shape strategy.
Understanding the Italian healthcare ecosystem, patient flow, and key decision makers to launch and manage the business for Lilly’s Neuroscience team with approved assets in Alzheimer’s disease.
Leading local account planning across priority hospital accounts and regional healthcare structures, leveraging customer insights to develop and execute local strategies aligned with brand objectives.
Identifying key Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in target accounts post‑training and compliance, gaining access, promoting endorsement, and advancing Lilly’s offer across the territory.
Collaborating with the Alzheimer’s Ecosystem Manager (AEM) to map account readiness and define localized action plans.
Define, prepare, and implement a territory business plan based on local healthcare priorities and regional dynamics.
Lead development of a cross‑functional business plan with Team Leader Sales Manager, AEM, MSL and RAM colleagues.
Support diagnostics and treatment ecosystem mapping and actively contribute to shaping diagnostic and therapeutic pathways (PDTA).
Compliantly achieve or exceed sales and new patient start targets through focused customer interactions.
Develop and maintain deep expertise and product knowledge in the therapeutic area and competitors.
Understand brand HCP value propositions and Lilly resources, confident positioning, tailoring to HCP needs.
Use business information to identify variances in local account performance and collaborate on tactical plans to maximize results.
Identify opportunities to involve other functions (marketing, medical, RWE, corporate affairs) for additional value.
Support HCPs in developing capabilities aligned with Lilly’s strategy for building lasting relationships.
Build relationships with key thought leaders and advocates within local territories.
Always demonstrate high integrity and compliance.
Essential Skills
Scientific Master Degree in Biology, Pharmacy, Informatics della Farmacia, or related field.
Proven track record in pharmaceutical sales.
Winning mindset and desire to excel in a highly challenging environment.
Proven ability to identify and convert business opportunities into growth.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong business acumen supported by analytical and planning capabilities.
Solid understanding of the Italian healthcare system, SSN funding, and regional budget structures.
Confidence in using alternative communication channels and virtual engagement.
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships and manage diverse local stakeholders.
Experience in developing regional and national thought leaders.
Demonstrated capabilities in value-based selling, key account management, and business planning.
Proven ability to execute peer‑to‑peer programs.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing strategic priorities.
Strong evidence of personal accountability and resilience.
Ability to manage a broad portfolio across multiple disease indications.
Valid Italian driving license.
Additional Skills/Preferences
Experience in neuroscience: neurodegenerative diseases, Alzheimer’s disease.
