We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Fabrics Research Junior Developer to join our Fabrics R&D team, based in our Global HQ in Milan, Italy.
Your Impact
As a Fabrics Research Junior Developer, you will support the seasonal development and sourcing of innovative fabrics, embroideries, and trims that align with the creative direction of our collections. Working in close collaboration with design and production teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely, high-quality, and brand-aligned material development.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the design team to identify and propose the most suitable fabrics, trims, and embroideries, contributing actively with creative input.
Support the creation of seasonal color and fabric mood boards to guide the collection development process.
Participate in the sourcing and development of fabrics, embroideries, and components, ensuring alignment with seasonal direction and brand identity.
Contribute to the maintenance and refresh of core fabric lines in response to business needs and creative updates.
Coordinate closely with development and production teams to align fabric development with the seasonal calendar and ensure timely delivery.
Participate in internal meetings and contribute to improving workflows across departments to support efficient and cohesive fabric and trim development.
Ensure consistency with brand aesthetics and collection vision throughout the development process.
Support cost, quality, and performance evaluations to meet business and creative objectives.
Maintain accurate and timely updates in the PLM system for all fabric-related data.
Regularly review and update the fabric library, ensuring it reflects current developments and seasonal inputs.
Qualifications
3-4 years of experience in a similar role within the fashion or textile industry.
Proven experience collaborating with international design teams in HQ environments.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Extensive knowledge of global fabric mills and sourcing practices.
Creative research abilities and a keen eye for trends, materials, and innovation.
Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
