Model Based & Embedded Avionic Software Engineer

TXT E-Tech S.r.l., part of the TXT Group, is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Aerospace & Defence division. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of embedded avionics software for a sixth‑generation fighter aircraft, working in a highly technological and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
Development of embedded avionics software components in a real‑time safety‑critical (RTOS) environment.
Implementation and management of continuous integration pipelines for the software lifecycle (build, test, deployment, verification).
Functional and architectural modelling using a Model‑Based approach.
Definition and maintenance of software specifications and interfaces between avionics subsystems.
Analysis of system requirements and traceability with respect to software models.
Collaboration with project teams to optimise development pipelines and configuration management (versioning, branching strategy).
Contribution to the continuous improvement of MBSE processes and software development methodologies.
Technical Requirements
Basic knowledge of C/C++ languages for embedded systems.
Fundamentals of software engineering (life cycle, versioning, testing, integration).
Experience with the Model‑Based Design approach.
Ability to read and interpret technical requirements and software specifications.
Basic knowledge of Linux environments.
Good command of technical English (documentation, interaction with international teams).
Optional Technical Requirements
Experience with DO‑178C or other safety‑critical standards.
Experience with real‑time operating systems (LynxOS).
Knowledge of real‑time embedded systems (RTOS, scheduling, interrupts, resource management).
Knowledge of MBSE principles (SysML, tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw).
Education
Diploma/bachelor’s or master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
The profile is rounded off by an analytical approach and problem‑solving skills, the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, proactivity and initiative, and effective time‑management skills.
