Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer – Milan
We’re looking for a Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer to join our growing team in Milan. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting‑edge engineering projects across Europe, within a company that values innovation, collaboration, and long‑term career development.
What You’ll Do
As a BMS Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the technical delivery on construction and engineering projects, from design coordination through to successful commissioning. You’ll collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to ensure all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and review design documents, drawings, and technical submittals
Support project handovers and evaluate value‑engineering opportunities
Produce coordinated drawings across mechanical, electrical, and architectural systems
Manage RFIs, material requisitions, purchase orders, and progress reports
Liaise with design teams, contractors, and internal project teams
Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and quality control documentation
Inspect installations, walk down systems, and populate test packs
Support and mentor junior engineers and graduates
What We’re Looking For:
Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
4+ years’ experience in project engineering with a mechanical or BMS contractor
Proven track record delivering projects in commercial, industrial, pharma, or data centre environments
Strong technical and commercial awareness
Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills
Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental standards and compliance
Ability to lead, problem‑solve, and drive project success
Passion for innovation, quality, and continuous improvement

Who we are looking for
As a Technical Project Engineer, you will play an active role in shaping Caracol’s advanced engineering projects, contributing to the development and implementation of customised, high‑impact solutions for complex industrial applications.
You’ll work side‑by‑side with our R&D team, transforming ideas into real systems, from early design to on‑site commissioning. Your activities will include defining technical layouts, producing detailed engineering documentation, and supporting the integration of bespoke configurations that embody our commitment to innovation, precision, and quality.
Few examples of responsibilities
Support the development of technical layouts and engineering documentation
Translate customer requirements into clear technical deliverables, under the supervision of senior engineers.
Collaborate with suppliers and partners to collect technical data, evaluate feasibility, and ensure component compatibility.
Prepare and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and other documentation to support installation and commissioning.
Provide technical support during installation, testing and troubleshooting, especially for non‑standard or first‑of‑kind solutions.
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2–3 years of experience in product industrialisation.
Good knowledge of CAD software and mechanical drawing standards.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and assembly methods.
Familiarity with automation systems and electromechanical components is a plus.

Project Engineer – Pumping Systems for Oil & Gas Applications
Position Information
Seniority: 2–3 years of experience
Department: Engineering
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Role Description
The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical management of projects related to pumping systems for Oil & Gas applications (onshore/offshore). The role coordinates engineering activities, suppliers, clients, and internal functions to ensure proper project execution in compliance with technical specifications, contractual requirements, timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities – Technical Project Management
Review technical specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable standards (API, ATEX, NACE, etc.).
Define technical solutions.
Prepare and manage technical documentation: datasheets, P&ID, performance curves, BOM, drawings, and manuals.
Coordinate interfaces among mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation teams.
Main Responsibilities – Operational Coordination
Support planning of engineering and production phases.
Interface with clients, EPCs, and suppliers.
Monitor technical and document progress vs. milestones.
Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, FAT/SAT.
Production & Testing Support
Assist production and assembly activities.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
Support QA/QC with ITPs, WPS, and certifications.
Requirements – Education
Degree in Mechanical, Energy Engineering, or related field.
Requirements – Experience
2–3 years in similar roles within Oil & Gas or Energy.
Knowledge of pumps, sealing systems, piping, instrumentation.
Technical Skills
Standards: API, ASME, ATEX, PED.
Able to read datasheets, P&IDs, 2D drawings.
Familiar with AutoCAD.
Basic knowledge of project cost control and planning.
Soft Skills
Strong organizational and problem‑solving mindset.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable interacting with clients and suppliers.
Languages
