Partner with the best
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the daily operation of the industrial painting area by developing and optimizing painting processes, designing, or improving equipment, and resolving production issues in collaboration with Production Supervisors and execution leaders. You will apply manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
You will be responsible for:
Participating in, upholding, and promoting the Baker Hughes safety culture, with a focus on chemical and environmental safety in painting operations.
Work closely with Production Supervisors to troubleshoot painting-related issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
Optimize painting cycles, drying times, and application methods to drive innovation, standardization, cost reduction, and lead time improvement.
Leverage new technologies (e.g., robotic painting, electrostatic systems) and methods to increase productivity and ensure coating quality.
Collaborate with Engineering and Procurement to scout new suppliers of paints, solvents, and equipment, benchmark best practices, and provide tailored solutions.
Be involved in manufacturability assessment of new painted components and support ITO in quotations involving surface treatments.
Act as the interface between Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customers to address technical needs, ensure compliance with specifications, and digitalize painting process documentation.
Additional Duties
Initiate and Management of Changes related to painting processes, materials, and equipment.
Coordinate maintenance of painting booths, ovens, and ventilation systems to ensure operational reliability and safety.
Organize and optimize tooling, masking systems, and paint inventory management.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have:
At least 5 years of experience in a Production Environment, preferably in industrial painting or surface treatment.
Proven knowledge of painting processes (liquid, powder, electrostatic), surface preparation, and coating standards.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, SAP, and digital tools for process documentation and analysis.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety standards related to painting operations (e.g., VOC emissions, ATEX zones).
