Medical Manager (Northern Italy)About the roleFor our dynamic, growing, and innovative Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role requires someone willing to think beyond the traditional pharma MSL role and operate autonomously in an entrepreneurial manner. The position offers the opportunity to develop broadly by engaging in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily work.You will join a team of two Medical Managers in Italy and will be responsible for developing and executing Medical Affairs strategies and projects. Additionally, you will support Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities. Residency in Italy and fluency in English are required for communication with the European Management team, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe.Major tasks & responsibilitiesDevelop Medical Affairs strategies and execute scientific projects such as publications and advisory boards.Build peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs and other influencers, utilizing evidence-based information.Support the development and launch of products in melanoma through scientific exchange.Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients.Provide business support to Italian marketing, commercial, and market access teams for Odomzo (sonidegib) in treating locally advanced basal cell carcinoma.Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor progress.Disseminate clinical and scientific information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds ethically and timely.Develop connections with national, regional, and local networks in Derma-oncology and other potential therapeutic areas.Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries.Support colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content support.Education Qualifications (Graduate- Post Graduate)Mandatory: (bio)medical or scientific academic degree.Driver’s license required.Work experienceMandatory: Minimum of 3 years of MSL or Medical Manager experience in the innovative pharmaceutical industry.At least one year of experience in a commercial role within the same industry.Mandatory: Native Italian and fluent in English.Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience.Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.Technical skills / job-specific competenciesStrong scientific knowledge.Strategic thinking.Knowledge of Dermatology or Oncology.Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance.Excellent teaching and presentation skills.Flexibility and patience.Positive, creative mindset towards challenges.Enjoys interacting with HCPs and fieldwork.
