Medical Manager (Northern Italy)About the roleFor our dynamic, growing, and innovative Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role requires someone willing to think beyond traditional pharma MSL roles and operate autonomously in an entrepreneurial manner. The position offers broad development opportunities, engaging in all aspects of the business and managing daily tasks independently.You will join a team of two Medical Managers in Italy and will be responsible for developing and executing Medical Affairs strategies and projects. Additionally, you will support Sales and Marketing colleagues, requiring a demonstrated ability to identify and leverage commercial opportunities. Candidates must reside in Italy and speak English fluently to communicate with the European Management team, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe.Major tasks & responsibilitiesDevelop and implement Medical Affairs strategies and scientific projects, including publications and advisory boards.Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs and other influencers, utilizing scientific evidence-based information.Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma.Assist with Early Access Program requests from healthcare professionals in Italy for melanoma patients.Provide business support for Italian marketing, commercial, and market access activities, including Odomzo (sonidegib) for basal cell carcinoma.Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress.Ensure timely, compliant, and ethical dissemination of clinical and scientific information regarding marketed and pipeline products.Establish and support networks in Derma-oncology and other potential therapeutic areas.Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries.Support colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content for speakers.Education Qualifications (Graduate-Post Graduate)Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree.Driver’s license required.Work experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or Medical Manager in the innovative pharmaceutical industry.At least one year of experience in a commercial function within the pharmaceutical industry.Native Italian speaker and fluent in English.Desirable: Experience in Dermatology or Oncology.Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.Technical skills / job-specific competenciesStrong scientific knowledge.Strategic thinking abilities.Knowledge of Dermatology or Oncology.Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance.Excellent teaching and presentation skills.Flexibility and patience.Positive, creative approach to challenges.Enjoys interacting with HCPs and prefers fieldwork over desk work.
